This hand-drawn map is one of several collected by or created by Underground Railroad historian Wilbur H. Siebert of Ohio State University. In being the first to research the history of those who aided freedom seekers, maps such as these sometimes were created by residents of regions where the Underground Railroad was prominent. This map shows towns such as Washington Court House and Bloomingburg, Ohio’s connectivity to routes that lead in several directions.
