The interiors today look much as they did during the factory's last years in operation. Restoration included removing all machinery, making repairs to the buildings and reinstalling the equipment in its exact location. In the woodworking shop, the Schroeders and their workers made the four wooden parts of saddletrees starting with rough sawn lumber sliced from logs in their sawmill.
