A commemorative rock erected in 1990 stands in Baintertown Park dedicated to the legacy of the Potawatomi leader Onaxa. Onaxa, also known as Wonyanoshonya and Five Medals, was key in treaty negotiations and met with Presidents Washington and Jefferson in hope of improving relations between Native groups and the United States.
