Auburn, Indiana— Home of the Classics— was once a bustling center of manufacturing. Early automotive luminaries E.L. Cord and Gordon Beuhrig called Auburn home. They designed some of the most beautiful cars the world would ever see. It wasn’t just the Auburn, Cords, and Duesenbergs that the city’s notable museum and festival are named for that put Auburn on the automotive map. Auburn was also the home to small automobile manufacturers and industries related to cars, from Kiblingers and Zimmermans to the Auburn Rubber Company. \r\n\r\nAuburn has kept its Classic City spirit alive with a long-running festival, world-class museum, and car auctions. Alongside more recent manufacturing companies that call Auburn home, Auburn citizens are proud of the city’s automotive heritage. Welcome to Auburn, Home of the Classics!</p>","postscript_text":"","tour_img":"https://discoverindianahistory.org.curatescape7.reclaim.hosting/files/fullsize/dcfc93211c05b8a87814fdb07322ab69.jpg","items":[{"id":571,"title":"Auburn Cord Duesenberg Automobile Museum","latitude":41.357654544252142159166396595537662506103515625,"longitude":-85.05665699441652805035118944942951202392578125,"thumbnail":"https://discoverindianahistory.org.curatescape7.reclaim.hosting/files/square_thumbnails/dcfc93211c05b8a87814fdb07322ab69.jpg","fullsize":"https://discoverindianahistory.org.curatescape7.reclaim.hosting/files/fullsize/dcfc93211c05b8a87814fdb07322ab69.jpg","subtitle":null,"address":"1600 S Wayne St, Auburn, IN 46706","custom":{"subtitle":null,"text":null}},{"id":570,"title":"Classic Car Auction","latitude":41.37263999999999697365637985058128833770751953125,"longitude":-85.047470000000004120010999031364917755126953125,"thumbnail":"https://discoverindianahistory.org.curatescape7.reclaim.hosting/files/square_thumbnails/9d28cbb08075de625157daaec198c29e.jpg","fullsize":"https://discoverindianahistory.org.curatescape7.reclaim.hosting/files/fullsize/9d28cbb08075de625157daaec198c29e.jpg","subtitle":null,"address":"5634 Opportunity Blvd, Auburn, IN 46706","custom":{"subtitle":null,"text":null}},{"id":572,"title":"Auburn Cord Duesenberg Festival","latitude":41.3659650000000027603164198808372020721435546875,"longitude":-85.0556820000000044501575757749378681182861328125,"thumbnail":"https://discoverindianahistory.org.curatescape7.reclaim.hosting/files/square_thumbnails/17f712fac34a4ed2c3a1b039dce8efc4.jpg","fullsize":"https://discoverindianahistory.org.curatescape7.reclaim.hosting/files/fullsize/17f712fac34a4ed2c3a1b039dce8efc4.jpg","subtitle":null,"address":"100 Main St, Auburn, IN 46706","custom":{"subtitle":null,"text":null}},{"id":569,"title":"Dillinger Gang Auburn Jail Raid","latitude":41.366020836734691101810312829911708831787109375,"longitude":-85.054467428571427944916649721562862396240234375,"thumbnail":"https://discoverindianahistory.org.curatescape7.reclaim.hosting/files/square_thumbnails/ca865d6e5e8036b9888220b4a2dc91db.jpg","fullsize":"https://discoverindianahistory.org.curatescape7.reclaim.hosting/files/fullsize/ca865d6e5e8036b9888220b4a2dc91db.jpg","subtitle":null,"address":"210 S Cedar St, Auburn, IN 46706","custom":{"subtitle":null,"text":null}},{"id":568,"title":"Double-Fabric Tire Company","latitude":41.36574300000000192767402040772140026092529296875,"longitude":-85.0607523999999983743691700510680675506591796875,"thumbnail":"https://discoverindianahistory.org.curatescape7.reclaim.hosting/files/square_thumbnails/272e685ef2ae768237de0d47f0e265eb.jpg","fullsize":"https://discoverindianahistory.org.curatescape7.reclaim.hosting/files/fullsize/272e685ef2ae768237de0d47f0e265eb.jpg","subtitle":null,"address":"18 West 9th Street, Auburn Indiana, 46706","custom":{"subtitle":null,"text":null}},{"id":567,"title":"E.L.
