From the theme of your favorite show to the music you turn on in the car, we move through our lives with the musical memories we create. It can be hard to imagine the lives of Hoosiers in the past. However, music allows us to feel how they felt and carry the sounds of their experiences into today. \r\n\r\nThis tour examines moments and movements in Indiana History through music. For many, music was an integral part of religious worship found in churches and religious meetings. It served as the beating heart of battles in early American conflict. Music could teach societal lessons through stories and the news of the day. There were even festivals and concerts that brought orchestras and classical music to Hoosier ears. \r\n\r\nSome locations of music performances and movements still exist. Other buildings are long torn down. This tour starts with Fort Wayne and the Revolutionary War. It moves then to Lawrenceburg near the border of Ohio. Finally, it stops in central Indiana at the turn of the 20th century. Just as songs have traveled throughout time and place, so does this tour. </p>","postscript_text":"","tour_img":"https://discoverindianahistory.org.curatescape7.reclaim.hosting/files/fullsize/0495c39ffb4f3939354f35145aaabb0e.jpg","items":[{"id":247,"title":"Historic Fort Wayne","latitude":41.085227000000003272361936978995800018310546875,"longitude":-85.136247999999994817699189297854900360107421875,"thumbnail":"https://discoverindianahistory.org.curatescape7.reclaim.hosting/files/square_thumbnails/0495c39ffb4f3939354f35145aaabb0e.jpg","fullsize":"https://discoverindianahistory.org.curatescape7.reclaim.hosting/files/fullsize/0495c39ffb4f3939354f35145aaabb0e.jpg","subtitle":null,"address":"1201 Spy Run Ave, Fort Wayne, IN 46805","custom":{"subtitle":null,"text":null}},{"id":686,"title":"The Murder Ballad of Fuller and Warren","latitude":39.0914262000000007901689969003200531005859375,"longitude":-84.8497035999999980049324221909046173095703125,"thumbnail":"https://discoverindianahistory.org.curatescape7.reclaim.hosting/files/square_thumbnails/1116993443f2a22f794ebdaee70b7b95.jpg","fullsize":"https://discoverindianahistory.org.curatescape7.reclaim.hosting/files/fullsize/1116993443f2a22f794ebdaee70b7b95.jpg","subtitle":null,"address":"165 Mary St, Lawrenceburg, IN 47025","custom":{"subtitle":null,"text":null}},{"id":685,"title":"Henry Ward Beecher and the Second Presbyterian Church","latitude":39.8949937000000005582478479482233524322509765625,"longitude":-86.1592801000000036992787499912083148956298828125,"thumbnail":"https://discoverindianahistory.org.curatescape7.reclaim.hosting/files/square_thumbnails/7c462e067764ef85ba6e8aebf613b8d2.jpg","fullsize":"https://discoverindianahistory.org.curatescape7.reclaim.hosting/files/fullsize/7c462e067764ef85ba6e8aebf613b8d2.jpg","subtitle":null,"address":"7700 North Meridian Street, Indianapolis, IN 46260","custom":{"subtitle":null,"text":null}},{"id":684,"title":"The Acton Campground","latitude":39.660291999999998324710759334266185760498046875,"longitude":-85.9711170000000066693246481008827686309814453125,"thumbnail":"https://discoverindianahistory.org.curatescape7.reclaim.hosting/files/square_thumbnails/592ecb87bc45085ab02b075a11671257.jpg","fullsize":"https://discoverindianahistory.org.curatescape7.reclaim.hosting/files/fullsize/592ecb87bc45085ab02b075a11671257.jpg","subtitle":null,"address":"10998 E Southport Rd, Indianapolis, IN 46259","custom":{"subtitle":null,"text":null}},{"id":683,"title":"The Indianapolis Maennerchor","latitude":39.77426009999999934052539174444973468780517578125,"longitude":-86.160596400000002859087544493377208709716796875,"thumbnail":"https://discoverindianahistory.org.curatescape7.reclaim.hosting/files/square_thumbnails/c5b638cf571c945a87f4e92dc80cb150.jpg","fullsize":"https://discoverindianahistory.org.curatescape7.reclaim.hosting/files/fullsize/c5b638cf571c945a87f4e92dc80cb150.jpg","subtitle":null,"address":"104 W Michigan St, Indianapolis, IN 46204, United States","custom":{"subtitle":null,"text":null}},{"id":497,"title":"The Starr Piano Company","latitude":39.82588872152024350725696422159671783447265625,"longitude":-84.9004923552274846088039339520037174224853515625,"thumbnail":"https://discoverindianahistory.org.curatescape7.reclaim.hosting/files/square_thumbnails/fa2e4f02911ea5147d662820c4111a13.jpg","fullsize":"https://discoverindianahistory.org.curatescape7.reclaim.hosting/files/fullsize/fa2e4f02911ea5147d662820c4111a13.jpg","subtitle":null,"address":"101 S 1st St, Richmond, IN 47374","custom":{"subtitle":null,"text":null}},{"id":682,"title":"The May Music Festival","latitude":39.7685163000000017063939594663679599761962890625,"longitude":-86.154221599999999625651980750262737274169921875,"thumbnail":"https://discoverindianahistory.org.curatescape7.reclaim.hosting/files/square_thumbnails/a5b8e14cb599da11fe66aec8936950d3.jpg","fullsize":"https://discoverindianahistory.org.curatescape7.reclaim.hosting/files/fullsize/a5b8e14cb599da11fe66aec8936950d3.jpg","subtitle":"Tomlinson Hall","address":"202 E Market St, Indianapolis, IN 46204","custom":{"subtitle":null,"text":null}}]}
