The home has two main entries, one facing the river (the South View)) to welcome 19th century guests traveling by boat, and the other (the North View, pictured here) facing First Street for travelers arriving on foot or by horse or carriage. The 12 foot tall doors may be the tallest residential entry doors of any home in the US.
